Hey
everyone! My name is Becky Sahm and I will be the Rec Chair this year!
It's up to me to plan the music events on the quad during the school
year. All
of my shows are free to the public and generally take place on the LBC
porch and LBC quad. In the past, we have brought many great artists
from around the country, such as Vampire Weekend and the Radiators, and
also some great New Orleans acts like Galactic, Rebirth Brass Band, and
Soul Rebels Brass Band.
In
addition to this I also act as the liaison between TUCP and some of the
other clubs on campus as I am the Music Chair for the Homecoming Tidal
Wave Committee in the fall and the co-music chair for Crawfest in the
spring.
Rec
shows provide a great opportunity to spend a sunny afternoon hanging
out with friends and listening to some great music. If you have any
good ideas for bands to play at Tulane or if you want to help me out
with some shows, send me an email. I can always use more ideas for up
and coming bands that might be great to bring down to Tulane. Thanks a
